JUNIOR LEAGUE OF MEMPHIS MISSION STATEMENT

The Junior League of Memphis is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

JUNIOR LEAGUE OF MEMPHIS IMPACT AREA

The impact area of the Junior League of Memphis is "Children in Need." A majority of our community projects will fall under this focus area. Although we encourage applicants to consider our impact area when developing their project and grant applications, we will not discourage proposals that do not fall under this umbrella. We do have the flexibility to include innovative projects that may not directly relate to "Children in Need."

The JLM has adopted the focus “Children in Need” as we actively seek to improve the lives of children and teens in Memphis and Shelby County. Needs include, but are not limited to, education, safety and crime issues, emotional and physical health, hunger and homelessness. The JLM realizes the importance of supporting children and endeavors to do so through concentrated volunteer and financial support.
